Four men from Rajasthan who robbed jewelry store in Neredmet arrested, over 60 kg gold seized

Hyderabad: The special operations team (SOT), Malkajgiri, along with the Neredmet police arrested four men who had robbed a jewelry store in Neredmet on the intervening night of 11 and 12 June. All four are from Rajasthan and had come to Hyderabad in search of work. One of them was an employee of the jewelry store.

The police said none of the four men - Pappuram Devasi, Sukhdev Singh Chowhan, Manchiram Devasi, and Dudaram Gurjar - have any criminal history.

Pappuram was a salesman at the jewelry store. He, along with the help of the other three, stole gold and silver ornaments and also the CCTV camera, disc and display device, and the landline phone which they later disposed of. The stolen ornaments were kept in the house of one of the accused men.

On 19 June, the police seized gold ornaments, weighing about 28 tulas, and silver ornaments, weighing about 63 kgs, a trolley auto, and four mobile phones from their possession. The stolen property is worth Rs. 47.2 lakhs.
