Hyderabad: Rachakonda police with the help of Jagtial police arrested four youths for kidnapping a businessman in Hyderabad.

Police arrested Abdul Azeez, 32, a resident of Korutla in Jagtial district, Sunil Patil, 43, of Uppuguda, Hyderabad, Nikhil Singh, 23, belonging to Kukatpally, Medchal district and Burri Rajesh, 28, of Nethajinagar, Errgadda.

The main accused, Raj Bhushan, is into the business of purchasing maize from farmers at Korutla and supplying the same to the complainant Nagabhushan, who in turn, sells it to poultry farmers in the name of Shiva Balaji Traders operating from Green Park Colony in Saroornagar, Hyderabad.

During the business transactions, Nagabhushan owed Rs 2.80 crore to Raj Bhushan and due to some financial problems, he delayed the payment. In a bid to get back his money, Raj Bhushan hatched a conspiracy to kidnap Nagabhushan. He hired one Abdul Azeez, a rowdy-sheeter of Korutala, and offered him Rs 10 lakh to kidnap Nagabhushan.

In October, Raj Bhushan, along with his wife and his son, had come to Nagabhushan's house and asked him about the money. When he refused, all the accused, who were waiting outside, rushed inside andn abducted Nagabhushan from Green Park Colony.

After this incident, Saroornagar police received a complaint from Kasani Satyanarayana, who has been looking into the bank correspondence work in Shiva Balaji traders, about the kidnap.

On October 5 Jagtial district police intercepted the kidnappers’ vehicle in a forest under Kodimyal police station limits. After chasing the vehicle for some time, Saroornagar police too joined the Jagtial police and arrested the accused.

Raj Bhushan is still absconding.

During interrogation, the arrested confessed to have committed the offence at the behest of Raj Bhushan.
