Fuel tanker owners protest against HPCL for not paying toll charges

Hyderabad: Fuel tanker owners staged a protest demonstration against Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) for not paying toll charges and issuing proper route maps, at Imampet village in Suryapet.

As many as 300 tankers were stranded at HPCL terminal at Imampet village in Suryapet. This is the main terminal wherefrom fuel is transported to different parts of Telangana and neighboring states.

The owners alleged that the management was neither issuing proper route maps nor paying the toll charges. Further, they have also reduced the distance based on satellite routes, which are practically not viable for transportation. They demanded an immediate solution to these issues to ensure an uninterrupted fuel supply.

This terminal stores petroleum products including Motor Spirit, Diesel, and Kerosene. It receives petroleum products from a refinery at Vizag.
