Union Minister meets forgotten police martyr Krishna Prasad: Vows zero tolerance to terror

Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs and MP from Secunderabad, G Kishan Reddy met the family of late IPS Office G Krishna Prasad on Saturday.

Additional Superintendent of Police G Krishna Prasad was shot to death along with his gunman Venkateswar Rao by ISI-sponsored terrorist module on November 29, 1992, in Tolichowki of Hyderabad. It is believed that the tragedy of Krishna Prasad’s martyrdom was the result of a lack of information, as Hyderabad intelligence didn’t know who the enemy was or what weapons they had possessed.

On October 21, Marty day, Gaddam Krishna Prasad Memorial High school in Khammam remembers him every year. Besides, News Meter’s columnist and Former Central Information Commissioner M Sridhar Acharyulu had written a detailed story on how Mujib, Krishna Prasad’s killer, was pampered.

G Kishan Reddy made a bold statement concerning the Islamic terrorist roots Hyderabad had after he became Secunderabad MP and Union Minister. And with the statement, Kishan Reddy’s meeting Krishna Prasad’s family has gained a lot of significance.

On this very occasion, Kishan Reddy took to Twitter to share photographs of him meeting the late IPS officer’s family. He wrote, “Late G Krishna Prasad garu bravely took on ISI terrorists at Tolichowki & attained martyrdom while foiling their plans of attacks in Hyderabad. I assured the family of our Govt’s zero tolerance towards terrorism. Also enquired about the wellbeing of the family.”
