Gang war at Tarnaka, captured in CCTV

Hyderabad : Taking advantage of the Telangana Police's Friendly Policing Policy, trouble mongers are creating a nuisance and sometimes ending up in street brawls. One such incident at Habsiguda in the city in the early hours of Saturday is an example. The incident captured on CCTV cameras in the area showed how two groups clashed in the middle of the road during late-night hours.

Though police registered a case and started a probe into the incident, it has raised questions on how residents are talking police for granted without any fear of the law.

On Friday night during the Ganesh immersion procession at Ramanthapur, an argument broke between Anil a car driver and Satish a degree student, over dancing in the procession. However, other devotees intervened and compromised them.

However a couple of hours later, when Satish was with his friends near their home at Habsiguda, Anil along with a group of his friends came there on bikes and started assaulting Satish. Though his friends tried to rescue him, it was in vain, leaving Satish injured. After much effort from Satish's friends, the group left them and sped away. Satish was treated at Gandhi hospital and discharged. Further investigation is underway said, officials from Osmania University Police station.
