Gangster Nayeem's niece dies in car accident

Hyderabad: Slain fugitive gangster Nayeemuddin alias Nayeem’s niece Sayeeda Sajida died in an accident in Nalgonda district. She was in a car at the time of the incident occurred late on Saturday. Sajida, along with her husband Faheem, is an accused in cases of extortion, land grabbing, threatening along with Nayeem’s other family members. Sajida was also accused in the double murder of Kistaiah and Anjaneyulu of Islampur in Medak district.

Along with Nayeem’s family members, Sajida was also facing charges in several cases registered against Nayeem.

Sajida was travelling from Nalgonda to Miryalaguda in her car. She lost control on the wheel and crashed into a truck from the rear.

As a result, the front portion of the car was completely damaged and Sajida died on the spot.

Nayeem was killed in August 2016 at Shadnagar in an alleged encounter by Telangana police. After his death, his atrocities came out as many of his victims started approaching police. Since then, the police have been registering cases and arrested his wife, brother and other family members. They have been released on bail and indulged in extortion and land grabbing in different parts of the erstwhile Nalgonda district.

Despite several cases registered almost three years ago and a Special Investigation Team being constituted to probe into Nayeem’s illegal activities, there is not much progress in the investigation.
