GHMC to spray 7000 liters of Sodium Hypochlorite to sanitize city

Hyderabad: GHMC has gone into an overdrive to sanitize the city in order to keep coronavirus at bay.

Two teams have been deployed at each divisional office in order to spray the Sodium Hypochlorite. Air-tech machines have been pressed into service to spray the chemical.

A total of 7000 liters of the Sodium Hypochlorite is being used. Of which 5000 liters will be used for sewer cleaning missions and rest of the. 2000 liters will be used for sanitizing the offices.

Passes have been issued to linemen, sewerage staff, air-tech machine staff, and tanker staff. Personal passes, vehicle passes have also been issued in order to avoid any hiccups during work.

Masks and gloves have been given to all officials and workers. The board has also given about 20 air-tech machines to the GHMC Disaster Relief Management staff for spraying the disinfectant.

Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board has also taken several measures to ensure their officials remain safe from the infection

Telangana has reported 65 positive cases of coronavirus. First corona related death has been reported from Khairatabad.
