Group hacks man to death in Hyderabad for allegedly killing their relative

Hyderabad: In a bizarre incident that rocked Hyderabad, a man accused of murder was hacked near Punjagutta to death by five people. The former, identified as Mir Raiyasath Ali Razvi, was out on his morning walk on Sunday when five people ambushed him and killing him in full public view.

Razvi is an accused in the murder of Ahmed, who was killed near Punjagutta police station in June. Investigating the gang attack on Sunday, Hyderabad police caught three attackers, who are the late Ahmad’s relatives. They have been planning Razvi’s death in retaliation.

Razvi was arrested for Ahmad’s murder and was lodged at Cherlapally Central Prison. He was released on bail on October 10. However, since his death in June, Ahmad’s brother Abdul Rahman, son Mohammed Azhar and their relatives were waiting to take revenge on Razvi.

Accordingly, they conducted a recce on Razvi’s residence and learnt of the latter’s morning routine from 7 am to 9 am. Razvi would visit a tea stall near Nagarjuna circle for having tea. According to the plan, Rahman purchased sickles from the Sunday market at Sanathnagar and arranged a vehicle.

On Sunday, Rahman arrived near the tea stall and waited for Razvi to come. As soon as he saw Razvi, he alerted the others who were waiting in the vehicle. The men ganged up on Razvi, killing him on the spot. While the police arrested three of the attackers, two are absconding.
