Hyderabad: Indian 2 is definitely one of the most-awaited films for the next year from down South. The Kamal Haasan starrer is being made at a brisk pace, and Kajal Aggarwal is playing the leading lady in this film.

Reportedly, Kamal, who returns to playing an aged vigilante in the Shankar directorial, will be seen speaking Gujarati in a few scenes in the film. An event called Ungal Naan was organised, celebrating the actor, who recently completed 60 glorious years in the profession. Shankar also attended the event, and the director opened up about Kamal’s character. To the surprise of the audiences, Kamal spoke a few lines in Gujarati and shared some crucial details about his role.

Indian 2 is being bankrolled by Lyca Productions. Besides Kamal Haasan and Kajal Aggarwal, the film features Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Bobby Simha, Priya Bhavani Shankar and others in crucial roles. Reportedly, Anil Kapoor is playing the antagonist in the film. Pictures of the actor from the sets of the film have gone viral in recent times.

The team has recently shot an action sequence worth Rs 40 crore in Bhopal, and it marked the end of the second schedule. Stunt choreographer Peter Hein has been roped in to oversee this episode. Around 2,000 junior artistes have taken part in this action sequence, and they have shot some of the scenes in Gwalior as well.

The first look poster of Indian 2 was released during Pongal earlier this year. Kamal and Shankar have reunited almost after two decades for this film. Soon after the completion of some significant portions, the team is expected to fly to Taiwan to film some critical scenes in the movie.

The film will be releasing in multiple languages including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and others. Anirudh Ravichander is composing music for this film.
