Hyderabad: Kabir Khan directorial 83’ is one of the most awaited films of 2020. It is a biopic on Kapil Dev, who was the captain of Team India when they won the World Cup in 1983.

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are playing husband and wife Kapil Dev and Romi Dev.

The makers of the film recently announced that it would be releasing on April 10 and they have started revealing the characters of the film and also the actors who are playing those characters.

First-look posters of Tahir Raj Bhasin as Sunil Gavaskar and Jiiva as Krishnamachari Srikkanth have gone viral for all the right reasons and people are waiting to know more about the flick. Tahir was seen in films like Kai Po Che and Manto and Jiiva is popular down South.

Saqib Saleem will be seen essaying the role of Jimmy Mohinder Amarnath, who was awarded the 'man of the match' in the semi-final and the final. Sahil Khattar will play the role of Syed Kirmani, who won the award for the best wicketkeeper during the World Cup of 1983.

Pankaj Tripathi will be seen in the role of Man Singh, the coach of the winning team of the 1983 squad and the driving force for the team.

Dhairya Karwa will be seen as Ravi Shastri. Nishant Dahiya will be seen in the shoes of Roger Binny. Chirag Patil will be seen playing Sandeep Patil. Chirag is Sandeep’s son and not many know this.

Harrdy Sandhu as Madan Lal, Ammy Virk as Balwinder Singh Sandhu, Adinath Kothare as Dilip Vengsarkar, Dinker Sharma as Kirti Azad, Jatin Sarna as Yashpal Sharma, R Badree as Sunil Valson, Boman Irani as Farokh Engineer.

Expectations on this film are high because of the cast. Many films have been made on cricket and cricketers as well. But still, this film has its own popularity and craze.

The film is produced under Reliance Entertainment, Phantom Films and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainments with a budget of Rs 105 crore.
