Hyderabad banks hopes on Sindhu as PBL reaches its final leg

Hyderabad: The Premier Badminton League, one of the biggest badminton franchise leagues in the world, is in its fifth season and has reached its final leg. All matches from today till the finals on February 9 will be held at the Gachibowli indoor stadium in Hyderabad.

Current World Champion and Hyderabad’s pride, PV Sindhu, will be in action, playing for home team Hyderabad Hunters.

The Hunters are currently placed at the bottom of the table with 4 points and will definitely look to bag some crucial wins with home advantage.

At 13 points, the Chennai Superstarz are on top of the table with 7 wins in 15 games. The Awadhe Warriors are next with 10 points off 7 wins. With the Season 5 of PBL reaching its final leg, the Hunters are hopeful of making a comeback through their poster girl Sindhu.

Sindhu and fellow Hyderabadi and current National Champion and World No. 13, Sikki Reddy, will have a huge responsibility on their shoulders to finish the home leg on a high position on the points table.

Sourabh Verma, who won his last match for the Hunters against Awadhe Warriors after going down in the first set, will be riding into his next with greater momentum.
