Hyderabad couple detained for beating child in full public view

Hyderabad: Shocking visuals of a boy being badly beaten up by a couple in the broad daylight were caught on the CCTV cameras at Sanathnagar of Hyderabad.
Police have registered a case and detained the couple. The boy in government school uniform is seen holding woman’s feet, pleading for mercy. But the couple continued to beat him ruthlessly in the middle of the road.
As the CCTV visuals went viral, Sanathnagar police initiated an inquiry and detained the couple for further investigation.
Sources said there was an argument between the children in the locality. One of the children informed his parents about the incident.
According to sources, on Tuesday morning when the students of the Round Table Government High School at Sanathnagar were out for morning break, the parents of the child stormed the premises and started beating the boy.
The boy ran for help but the couple did not listen to him. The couple even chased him for few meters and caught hold of him in the middle of the road. The woman is seen pinning him to the ground and beating him continuously.
After students gathered and passersby surrounded them, the couple left the child and fled from the spot. Sanathnagar police have registered a case of assault under Juvenile Justice Act.
