Hyderabad: Man rapes, murders minor FB friend

Hyderabad: A Kendriya Vidyalaya student was allegedly raped and murdered by her Facebook friend, a bike mechanic from Mahbubnagar district in Telangana. The body of the girl who had been missing since Tuesday has recovered from an isolated location at the outskirts of Shankarpally tanda in the district on Thursday.
The girl, 14, a Class X student at Kendriya Vidyalaya had been missing since Tuesday. Her parents filed a missing complaint with the Jadcharla police. Investigations revealed that the girl had been in touch with a 28-year-old man, Yenugu Naveen Reddy, a native of Koheda village near Ibrahimpatnam. Reddy runs a wheel alignment workshop at Alkapuri Colony in Nagole at Hyderabad. Based on the clues the police detained him from the outskirts in Hyderabad.
During questioning, Naveen admitted to raping the girl killing her by attacking her with a boulder. He said that he had befriended the girl through Facebook and that they would chat on Facebook and speak to each other over the phone.
