Hyderabad Race Club employee caught smuggling Ganja

Hyderabad: An employee of Hyderabad Race Club at Malakpet was caught smuggling ganja. Taskforce sleuths of Hyderabad commissionerate seized 22 mga of ganja from the accused, KG Panna Singh, who is working as a helper at the club. Nagamani from Vizag who supplies ganja to Panna Singh is absconding.

Inquiries revealed that Panna Singh was working at the club for close to a decade, but as his earnings were not sufficient he began smuggling ganja from Vizag. Police found that he is a habituated ganja peddler and with the greed to earn easy money, he started procuring ganja from Nagamani. Usually, Panna Singh contacts Nagamani. She delivers ganja to his home, in Chaderghat in the city, for Rs 3,000 per kg. He then packs it in small packets of around 25 grams each and sells them for about Rs 150 each to known customers in Malakpet and the surrounding areas.
