Hyderabad records 44.4 degree celsius, highest this season

Hyderabad: Even after some lockdown restrictions were lifted in the state, the scorching heat keeps Hyderabadis locked inside their houses. According to Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS), a maximum Temperature of 44.4 degree Celsius was recorded in Hyderabad till today.

According to the forecast in Telangana, Jagtial district recorded a maximum temperature 47.2 degree celsius.

According to Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) in Telangana, heatwaves are set to continue till May 26. IMD Metereologist Naga Ratna said, “Due to cyclone Amphan, dry winds from North-West parts of India are reaching Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and absence of moisture in the atmosphere had led to the heatwave conditions over Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.”

Heatwave in Telangana can be experienced in districts like Adilabad, Asifabad, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Khammam, Mahaboobnagar and Suryapet.

North Coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh and Yanam will see heatwave-like conditions. In Andhra Pradesh Kurnool recorded a maximum temperature of 44.5 degree Celsius.

After May 26, thunderstorm with light rains can occur over Andhra and Telangana, said the forecast.
