Hyderabad: Traffic diversion in view of Durga idol immersion

Hyderabad: The city traffic police on October 24 issued an advisory in view of the immersion of Durga Idols in Hussain Sagar Lake and for the safety and the convenience of the public. The traffic restrictions will be imposed on NTR Marg on 25th and 26th October from 6 pm on Sunday till the conclusion of immersion.

The traffic police have notified the diversion and alternate routes during the immersion hour.

The Traffic will not be allowed on Khairtabad Flyover towards NTR Marg and will be diverted towards Nirankari.

Traffic coming from Iqbal Minar, Liberty and Telugu Thalli Junctions will not be allowed towards NTR marg.

Alternate Routes

Traffic coming from Panjagutta - Somajiguda and Rajbhavan Road will proceed via Nirankari, Old Saifabad PS, Iqbal Minar, Ambedkar Statue towards Secunderabad and Basheerbagh.

Traffic from Iqbal Minar, Liberty and Telugu Thalli will proceed via Old Saifabad PS, Lakdikapul, towards Mehdipatnam or Khairtabad.

General traffic coming towards Tankbund from Secunderabad side will be diverted at Children’s Park towards lower tank bund based on the movement of vehicles carrying Durga matha idols as per the situation on the days of immersion.

The Hyderabad traffic police have requested the citizen to follow the routes designated routes on the day of immersion.

Telangana Government on October 23 declared Vijay Dasami holiday on October 26(Monday). Earlier, as per the scheduled holiday from the government of Telangana, October 25(Sunday) was the general holiday for Vijay Dasami.
