Hyderabad: Traffic norms to be imposed during Ganesh Nimarjan

Hyderabad: Traffic norms are to be imposed in Hyderabad city because of Ganesh Nimarjan on Thursday and Friday. Ganesh Shoba Yatra also called the Ganesh Nimarjan will start on Thursday.

Hyderabad Additional Traffic Commissioner of Police, Anil Kumar has declared that the traffic norms will be imposed during Ganesh Nimarjan.

Traffic restrictions are expected to start at 9 am on Thursday but private vehicles will not be allowed in the city from 6 am.

All the preparations have been made for the Ganesh Nimarjan. Till Monday around 20 thousand Ganesh idols were immersed and another ten thousand idols are expected to be immersed on Tuesday.

People from other states have also come to Hyderabad city to see the Ganesh Nimarjan. Along with the city’s Ganesh idols, a few Ganesh idols from Cyberabad and Rachakonda will also participate in the Shoba Yatra.

Ganesh Nimarjan yatra will be celebrated on a18 km stretch from Balapur to Tank Bund. Seventeen routes are being strictly monitored along with all the zones.

Anil Kumar suggested to the public to make use of public transport on Wednesday. The traffic police are planning to allow a few RTC buses in a few areas.

DCP, Addl. DCP, Lady officers, 192 Sub Inspector of Police officers and 1150 Home guards will be on duty during the two shifts in that 24-hour time frame.

Airport travellers should use city outskirts road rather than those entering the city. Traffic will be monitored, and information will be updated through three toll-free numbers and google map application.
