2 die after building collapses in Hyderabads Hussaini Alam

Hyderabad: Two people died after a two-story building collapsed at Hussaini Alam in the city on the afternoon of 11 October.

Five people, including a two-year-old child, were injured in the incident. The injured have been shifted to Asara Hospital in Moghalpura and Osmania General Hospital. The victims have been identified as Farah Begum and Anees Begum.

“The building collapsed at around 12:15 in the afternoon. Two casualties have been confirmed while five people have been injured,” said B. Anjaiah, the ACP of Charminar.



According to the police, the building was quite old and was built using soil and lime. It collapsed due to the heavy rains of the past three days, they said.

Police demolished the remaining part of the building.

The GHMC, along with the local police and DRF, is trying to clear the debris.
