IAS officer Amrapali Kati appointed as Deputy Secretary in PMO
By Newsmeter Network Published on 12 Sep 2020 3:53 PM GMTHyderabad: IAS officer Amrapali Kata of batch 2010, is deputed to serve at the Prime Minister's office (PMO) as ‘deputy secretary’. The officer is among the youngest bureaucrats to be appointed to the post for a period of three years.
The appointment was announced by establishment officer to GOI, department of personnel & training – New Delhi on 12th September,2020. Three IAS officers, Raghuraj Rajendran as the Director, Amrapali Kata as deputy secretary and Mangesh Ghildiyal as under secretary.
The appointment has curtailed the service of IAS officer batch 2004 Raghuraj Rajendran, as private secretary to the minister of steel and petroleum and natural gas. He has been appointed as Director in the PMO for a period of two years.
The center has directed the respective government department to relieve them from duties to take up a new assignment. The officer has been given few weeks time to take charge.
Months before this posting, the IAS officer was appointed as ‘deputy secretary’ in the Union cabinet secretariat. Earlier as the private secretary to the Union Minister for Home G. Kishen Reddy.
Ms Kata has served in various capacities in the state of Telangana. A native of Vishakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh, the IAS officer Amrapali Kata, has served as a collector of Warangal Urban district, besides working with the GHMC and TS election Commission. The 2010 batch officer is married to IPS officer Sameer Sharma, of 2011 batch.
