IFS officer ends life at Hyderabad, bureaucracy slips into shock

Hyderabad: An Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer belonging to AndhraPradesh cadre allegedly ended his life at his residence in Nagole of Hyderabad.

V Bhaskara Ramana Murthy, 59, was working with the state Forest department. According to LB Nagar police,

Murthy had been residing in an apartment at Rajiv Gruhakalpa in Nagole, along with his wife. He is posted in Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh and frequently visits his wife here.

It was found that he came home a couple of days ago. Around 3 am, the apartment guards noticed a loud noise in the premises.

Guards immediately rushed to the spot and found Murthy lying in a pool of blood. They immediately alerted the apartment association and the police. The body has been shifted to Osmania mortuary for postmortem. Police said they are trying to certain the reasons behind the suicide. IFS officer
