India records over 3,600 active COVID-19 cases, Maharashtra tops

Data provided by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare reveals that the country has 3,666 active novel coronavirus cases as on April 6. Around 109 people have died due to COVID-19 in the country so far.
Among the states, Maharashtra recorded the most number of COVID-19 cases with 690. The state also registered the highest number of 45 deaths due to the novel coronavirus.
Tamil Nadu has confirmed 571 corona-positive cases with five deaths. Delhi has 503 confirmed cases of the virus. Telangana surpassed Kerala in the number of cases with 321 patients.
Around 34 people have been cured/discharged in Telangana. The most number of people who have been cured or discharged are from Kerala with 55.
Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh has registered 226 corona-positive cases with three deaths.
More than 1.2 million cases of coronavirus have been reported from 183 countries and around 68,000 people have died due to COVID-19 so far. The United States of America tops the list with the most number of cases followed by Spain and Italy.
