Indian Navy postpones  MILAN 2020 over Corona virus concerns

Visakhapatnam: Amid fears surrounding the outbreak of Corona virus (COVID-19), the Indian Navy has cancelled its mega-multilateral naval exercise MILAN which was to be conducted in March 2020 in Vizag.

The 10-day event was to begin on 18 March in Vizag city. It has been postponed over safety concerns and in view of the travel restrictions being imposed by the government. MILAN 2020 had generated an enthusiastic response with naval teams from around the world expressing their desire to participate. The Indian Navy said it looks forward to conducting MILAN at a later convenient date.

The Navy thanked all the participants for accepting their invitation to participate in MILAN 2020 and for their support in the run-up to this event.
