Inquiry into Chaitanyapuri SIs high-handedness begins

Hyderabad: Rachakonda police commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat has informed that sub-inspector of Chaitanyapuri, D. Narsaiah, who was caught on camera thrashing a migrant worker was attached to the commissionerate headquarters. There are several complaints against him in the past and a detailed inquiry is on. After the inquiry report is submitted, necessary action will be initiated against him.

Speaking to mediapersons on Thursday, he said that the incident of Inspector, Chaitanyapuri, S. Janaki Reddy using force and abusing a leader at Gaddiannaram market late on Tuesday night was in his notice and that an inquiry was already underway into it.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered against BJP Nagarkurnool district president

A. Sudhakar Rao under charges of causing obstruction to duties and also violating the lockdown orders. He had come down to the market late in the night to support the farmers, who were stranded outside the market.

On Tuesday, the market authorities issued a notice closing the market for business, starting from Wednesday. Not aware of this information, farmers and traders from different parts of the state arrived at the market.

After the incident, the authorities have shifted the fruit market to different function halls located in Nagole and Bandlaguda areas, where they can sell their produce.
