Delhi, August 1: In a shocking incident from Faridabad, IPS officer Vikram Kapoor allegedly shot himself dead with his service revolver on Wednesday.

Vikram, DCP of NIT area in Faridabad, allegedly committed suicide around 6 am at his government residence in Sector 30 of Faridabad Police Lines.

According to the Faridabad police sources, a probe has been initiated and senior officials are at the residence of of Vikram. Though, the reason of suicide is yet to be known, the investigating team is exploring all angles. They are also trying to find out if any suicide note was left behind.

“With great sadness, it is to inform you that DCP of NIT Faridabad Vikram Kapoor shot himself dead with his service revolver at his residence in Police Lines, Sector 30, Faridabad at 6 am. The cause of the suicide is being investigated,” Faridabad police said in a statement.
