Is Ram Charan playing a role of Naxalite in his next movie?

Hyderabad: If there is one actor who changed the way people perceived him overnight, it is Ram Charan. From a lover boy who could dance and perform action sequences to someone who can act in challenging roles seamlessly, Ram Charan has surely changed the film paradigm.

Conjecture is that Mr.C has given a thumb up to yet another intense role. He is going to play the role of a Naxalite, a younger version of his father in Chiranjeevi’s 152nd film. The movie is being directed by Koratala Siva and shooting is already going on in full swing. The working title of the film is said to be 'Acharya’.

Speculations are also rife that Ram Charan is soon going to Rajahmundry to join the crew on the sets. Although there is no official announcement, rumors are agog about Ram Charan’s role and the lookout for a female lead.

On the other hand, Trisha Krishnan is name that is resonating with regards to who would be playing the female lead in the film alongside Chiranjeevi. This social drama film is being produced by Ram Charan and Niranjan Reddy of Matinee Entertainment.

Clearly, Charan is on a producing spree. It was heard that he bought the rights of Malayalam blockbuster film, 'Lucifer’, starring Mohan Lal. The movie was directed by actor turned director Prithviraj Sukumaran. Director Sukumar was reportedly writing the script for the Telugu remake, keeping Chiranjeevi in mind.

Reports also suggest that he bought the official remake rights of yet another Malayalam film, 'Driving License’. In fact, the movie had Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role. The movie was directed by Jean Paul Lal. Looks like Ram Charan is eyeing all the Malayalam hits and wants to serve them to the Telugu audience.

On the acting front, Ram Charan is playing the lead in SS Rajamouli’s RRR alongside Jr.NTR. The movie is said to be based on the valor of freedom fighters.

In 2018, Ram Charan played the nuanced role of a hearing-impaired villager in the Sukumar direction, Rangasthalam and unleashed his acting prowess like never before. He won hearts and the Best Actor Award at the Filmfare. Looks like Ram Charan is thirsty for new challenges now.
