Issue settled after YSRCP leaders intervene between Kotamreddy and Kakani

Amaravati: It is well understood that there is an issue between Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy and Sarvepalli MLA Kakani Govardhan Reddy. Mandal Parishad Development Officer Sarla complained Kotamreddy with the help of Kakani’s close aide. Now, after Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy asked the party’s senior leaders to interfere, it seems that everything has become healthy again.

Both leaders had a meeting with YSRCP senior leader YV Subbareddy at his residence in Vijayawada on Wednesday. Nellore district Minister P Anil Kumar Yadav and others also took part. According to sources, both leaders complained about each other during the three-hour-long meeting. However, as the party chief directed Subbareddy, Kotamreddy and Kakani had no choice but to maintain peace.

Kottamreddy’s image in the party was at stake, as this is not the first time he has landed in a controversy. So the party seniors gave him a strong warning. The sources also revealed that the CM is not happy with the disputes that are giving his party a hard time. Jagan Reddy Telugu Desam government over the attack on Tahsildar Vanajakshi after Chintamaneni attacked her. This was shown as an example of Telugu Desam’s commitment to women. So, his MLA facing such allegations made him unhappy even though there is no substantial evidence to prove the allegations against Kotamreddy.

Both leaders spoke to the media after the meeting, and they pretended like nothing was discussed about the issue. They said that the meeting was held regarding the Chief Minister’s first visit to Nellore after the elections. Kakani said that Kotamreddy is his relative and friends from childhood. They will have no issues among themselves. He said, “We won’t give a chance for anyone to mediate between us. I don’t think that situation will come in future either. We are friends and family members.”
