I-T officials search properties of Prathima group owned by TRS ex-MP brother

Hyderabad: Income tax sleuths carried out searches against Prathima group owned by Boinpally Srinivas Rao, brother of former TRS parliamentarian B. Vinod Kumar.
The searches were held in twin cities of Hyderabad and few properties based in Karimnagar district of Telangana. The sleuths were acting upon inputs on possible tax evasion by the group.
The Prathima group have presence in infra sector besides owing a chain of hospitals with his registered office in Hyderabad. The longest serving directors currently on Prathima Hospital’s board are Srinivas Rao Boinipally, Usha Rani Boinipally, Ramu Chennadi and Madhavi Boinapally.
Srinivas Rao Boinipally has the largest number of other directorships with a seat at a total of 18 companies. In total, the company is connected to 25 other companies through its directors.
It is to note that former MP B. Vinod Kumar, is one of the close aides to those holding power in the state and also a distant relative C. Vidhyasagar Rao , former governor of Maharasthra . The IT sleuths besides probing the tax evasion is also looking at possible funds flow during the general elections.
