It’s ‘Whistle’ for Vijay in Telugu

Chennai: Vijay’s upcoming movie Bigil will release as Whistle in Telugu. AR Rahman released the first look poster of the film, which will hit screens this Diwali.

Sharing the first look poster on Twitter, the Oscar-winning musician wrote, “Here is the first look of Thalapthay Vijay in #Whistle (sic).” The movie was mostly shot in Chennai, held at a specially-erected football stadium at EVP Studios in Chennai. The actor recently showed his generous gesture towards his crew, by gifting his 300-plus team with gold rings with ‘Bigil’ carved on it.

Meanwhile, Bigil, directed by Atlee, is now in the final post-production stage. Music is by AR Rahman and is said to have completed half of his work as of now. The movie is bankrolled by AGS Entertainment and has Nayanthara playing the female lead. A sports-action entertainer, the film also has Kathir, Indhuja, Jackie Shroff, Daniel Balaji, Vivek, Yogi Babu, Anandaraj, Amrita, Varsha, and Rebba Monica in crucial roles.

After Bigil, Vijay will next be seen in a Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial, the shooting of which will begin in summer 2020. Xavier Britto will bankroll this flick under XB Film Creators. Vijay Sethupathi will be playing the antagonist, and it will be similar to the likes of Rajinikanth-starter Petta. Malavika Mohan will play the female lead.
