Jagan asks to solve problems in 72 hours

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy asked all the new employees of Village Secretariats to serve people without any partiality. By stating that the development of the state depends upon their performance, YS Jagan advised them to be honest and transparent. YS Jagan was speaking at a function in the A+ convention centre in Vijayawada on Monday. It was organised to hand over the appointment letters to the candidates who recently got jobs in village secretariats. The village secretariat system is going to be launched on October 2.

Jagan said that his government created history by appointing 1.26 lakh people within a short period, which is a first-of-its-kind in India. “Twenty lakh candidates competed for the jobs. The examinations were conducted for eight days. 1.26 lakh candidates are getting jobs. Everything is a record,” Chief Minister announced. “The new employees can work in their Mandal, or they can opt for any other Mandal in the District,” he informed.

Chief Minister assured the aspirants who failed to get jobs that his government would fill all vacancies in the government sector. “There will be new appointments every January. We will follow the calendar strictly to provide jobs for youth,” he declared.

He added that the government established village secretariats for every 2,000 people and every secretariat has 10 to 12 posts. “Besides, every 50 houses have one volunteer for door delivering government services. The services should reach every person promptly. The problems of the villages should be solved within 72 hours,” Jagan said in the meeting.

He alleged that the villages were rotten by the corruption of the Janmabhoomi Committees of the Telugu Desam regime. The CM told that the village administrative system is on a ventilator due to the mismanagement of the previous government.

“From January 1, all villages will have 500 types of services at their doorstep. New ration cards and pensions will be given to eligible persons. It is the responsibility of the employees of the village secretariats to strive hard to reach every government scheme to the beneficiaries,” Jagan asserted. He complimented the officials who worked hard day and night to complete the employment process in a very short time.

Ministers Botsa Satyanarayana, K Nani, P Ramachandra Reddy, P Nani and higher officials were among those who attended the meeting.
