Jagan submits progress report to Governor, party leaders claim 90% promises fulfilled

Hyderabad: The YSRCP government, which came to power last year in May, has submitted a progress report of the state, assessing the past seven months. The report was submitted on the occasion of the 71st Republic Day in Vijayawada.

Addressing the media on Sunday, the party's senior leader, Ummareddy Venkateswarlu said, "YSRCP's flagship program Navaratnalu was being implemented in the state. Previously, several governments had failed to fulfil their election promises after coming to power. Unlike any other government, Jagan Mohan Reddy has fulfilled about 90 percent of the election promises."

The leader further mentioned several programs implemented by the YSRCP government and hailed the village Secretariat and volunteer system that ensures immediate access to most government services.

He further added, "Jagan Mohan Reddy is the only chief minister from the country who has fulfilled Gandhi's 'Grama Swaraj'. About 2.9 lakh members were employed after YSRCP has come into power. The important factor to be noticed here is that about 50% of the employed are from the SC, ST, BC and minority communities."

"The services provided by the government to farmers from the supply of seeds to purchase of the crop are beneficial to farmers and also ensure the quality of the crop", said the leader.

He went on to say that the previous government had diluted the Arogya Sri services. "After the YSRCP has come to power, the scheme was reformed in a way that patients are provided with financial assistance even after surgeries," he said.

He also hailed the steps taken by the government in the education sector, where 'Nadu-Nedu' and 'Amma Vodi' were launched to ensure education to every child in the state.
