Jubilee Hills Road No.45 closed for motorists for 6 months

Hyderabad: With the construction of a four-lane road on Durgamcheruvu route yet to be completed, traffic restrictions from Madhapur to Jubliee Hills on Road No. 45 have been extended by another six months.

Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar said that the work on the four-lane road will be finished by July 21. It will then be open for regular traffic, he said.

The police said vehicles coming towards Road No. 45 will be diverted to Road No. 44 which goes via Mahaa News Channel, Bistro Pub, Iqbalia International School and Fernandez Dawakhana.

The traffic coming from Madhapur will be diverted to an alternate route. Vehicles will take left from the junction of Road No. 39 and 44, then go right on Road No.44 before reaching Road No. 56 to go to Jubliee Hills Road No. 60.

Anjani Kumar requested motorists to use these alternative routes and co-operate with the traffic police. Earlier in August 2019, traffic curbs on the road had been announced for two months, but they were extended later.

The four-lane road will come up at an estimated cost of Rs 182 crore. It will have cycling and walking tracks. The construction has been delayed due to issues tied to land acquisition.
