Bhadadri-Kothagudem: The Bhadadri-Kothagudem police arrested a junior advocate and his associate, who are members of a Maoist frontal organisation on Sunday. It is alleged that the two has been working for the banned outfit. The police seized three memory cards and four letters from them. Police identified them as Aitha Anil Kumar, a practising lawyer from Warangal and Dasarapu Suresh.

Police said Anil admitted that the memory cards and the letters were given to him by Maoist party Telangana state committee secretary Jagan. Anil was asked to give the three letters to Chikkudu Prabhakar, one letter to Balla Ravindra Nath alias Jesun and the three memory cards to Nalamasu Krishna.”

Recently Gadwal police arrested a few persons from various front organisations on charges of alleged association with the Maoist party.

Inquiries revealed that Anil Kumar is a member of the Maoist frontal organisation, Committee for the Release of Political Prisoners (CRPP). He is also the Warangal district secretary of the Telangana Vidhya Vedika (TVV) since 2011.

Police said, “Besides being an active member of the Maoist frontal organisation, Anil Kumar is also an active Maoist courier. He works for the Maoist party, Telangana committee members, Haribhushan and Damodar. Investigations revealed that Anil Kumar had been actively arranging for the meeting of leaders of Maoist frontal organisation with other Maoist leaders to spread Maoist ideology. He would receive financial support and is also into extorting funds from contractors, businessmen, cotton mill owners for the Maoist organisation.”

Anil Kumar informed the police that TVV state president Maddileti, Thudum Debba national convener Rayala Lakshmaiah, state president Vatti Upender, Chaitanya Mahila Sangham state general secretary Chukkala Shilpa, Telangana Vidhyarthi Sangham state president Kota Srinivas Goud, Democratic student Union leader Kancharla Bhadri, Telangana Youth Forum state president Mohan Raja, Telangana Praja Front) state president Kusuma Ravinder, Telangana Democratic Forum state convenors Chikkudu Prabhakar and Kota Srinivas Goud, CRPP state general secretary Balla Ravindra Nath, Civil Liberties committee state president Gaddam Lakshman and Telangana Rythanga Samithi leader Sayanna are working for the Maoist party in urban areas. They work to propagate Maoist ideology and extort money from people in business and contractors for Maoist activities. They have also been receiving financial support from Maoist Organization to carry out their activities.

Superintendent of police, Bhadradri-Kothagudem district said, "Maoist frontal organisations are inciting Tribals and non-Tribals to fight for podu lands, and has led to a lot of discontent among them." A statement from his office said, "Maoist activities have created hindrance to development activities in the Agency area in Telangana. We will deal with the leaders of these various Maoist organisations and those who support them legally. "

He urged the people and students not to indulge in Maoist activities or get involved in Maoist frontal organisations that create hindrance to the social and economic development of the Agency area.
