Lookout notice issued against for former AP whip Ravi Kumar

Srikakulam: TD senior leader and former government whip Kuna Ravi Kumar have been booked for misbehaving with the Sarubujjili Mandal Parishad development officer A. Damodara Rao during a grievance programme that was held on Monday in Srikakulam district.

Sarubujjili police on Tuesday registered various cases including Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act, 1984 against the TD leader and 11 others on the charges of disturbing the government programme and preventing a government officer from discharging his duty. Srikakulam superintendent of police R.N. Ammi Reddy confirmed that a case has been registered against Ravi Kumar on Tuesday based on a complaint from the officer on Monday night.
A police team had gone to Amadalavalasa to take Ravi Kumar into custody, but he was not available. Police then launched a look-out to arrest Ravi Kumar.
However, TD activist and supporters of the leader staged a protest in Amadalavalasa Assembly constituency in Srikakulam on Tuesday.
The police said that Kuna Ravi Kumar misbehaved with the group-1 level officer and quoting the complainant's version said that the Ravi Kumar used indecent words.
TD activists allege that the police are under the thumb of the YSR Congress government and that the former whip got agitated as the government officials were not considering the grievances of some people labelling them as TD supporters.
