Lured with food, woman abducts child at Secunderabad railway station, rescued

Hyderabad: Bowenpally police foiled an abduction bid when they rescued a child from a woman kidnapper within two hours at Secunderabad railway station.

The accused woman abducted the kid after luring the mother and child with food. Police immediately swung into action and traced the woman and rescued the child.

According to Bowenpally police, the child’s mother is a beggar who survives on the alms at the Secunderabad railway station.

On Monday morning, the woman kidnapper gained the confidence of the child’s mother and promised to provide them food. She took them along and waited at Bowenpally bus stop.

When Nizamabad-bound TSRTC bus approached the station, the kidnapper gave Rs 50 to the child’s mother and asked her to buy food from a nearby stall.

As the mother went to buy food, she boarded the bus and whisked away from the scene.

The mother immediately approached the Bowenpally police station for help. Police immediately swung into action and identified the kidnapper and the bus from the CCTV footage.

They immediately alerted RTC officials and obtained the driver’s contact number. Police also contacted their counterparts in Medak district.

Medak district police intercepted the bus and recovered the child. Medak Police later detained the woman and handed her over to Bowenpally police.
