Rajahmundry: East Godavari police have traced five teenagers who ran away from home to chase TikTok dreams and earn quick bucks.

Four youngsters from Nagarama village and one from Kakinada of East Godavari district had gone missing on Saturday. Police said three of the teenagers are Class X students while two others failed to qualify intermediate exams.

One of the teenagers left a note at home urging his parents not to search for him as he will return after a few years.

Worried parents later lodged a missing complaint at the police station. DSP of Amalapuram Shaik Masoom Basha immediately swung into action and formed five teams to trace the missing boys.

Police later traced the missing teenagers from Mangalagiri.

An investigation into the case has revealed that the missing teenagers were planning to visit the hilly areas, valleys to shoot TikTok videos. The youngsters wanted to upload the videos on various social networking platforms to earn quick bucks.

Police sources said the teenagers were not interested in academics and wanted to earn quick bucks. Sources said the boys will be handed over to their families on Monday.
