Mahabubnagar commissioner Vadde Surendar caught with Rs 1.65 L bribe

Hyderabad: In a spree of raids carried out by the sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau, Telangana on 22nd October. Municipal commissioner of Mahabubnagar fell into the trap laid by the officials.

Vadde Surendar, Municipal commissioner was caught red-handed in his office accepting bribe of Rs 1.65 lakh from complainant Ali Ahamed Khan. According to the ACB, the officer demanded bribe for an official favor that is to forward the quotation of the complainant to the collector for approval of new chlorination plant in the district municipality.

The trap amount of Rs 1. 65 lakh was recovered from his possession. The accuse was arrested and produced before the special court for ACB cases.

In another trap, ACB caught N Hanumantha Rao Naik, serving as a deputy executive engineer in Suryapet office accepting bribe of Rs 2.25 lakh. The accused was trapped inside Uppal's Indoor stadium when he was accepting the money from complainant Riyasat khan. Hanumantha Rao reportedly demanded graft to check measurement in respect to the work executed by the complainant in measurement book and forward the same to his superior. The ACB arrested Naik and produced him before the special court.

The officials appeal to general public to dial 1064 toll free number to register a complaint against tainted officials.
