Man arrested for molesting 7-year-old in Saidabad

Hyderabad: A 57-year-old man who allegedly molested a seven-year-old girl at Saidabad in Hyderabad was arrested on 11 March. The accused, Dasu, is a painter.
According to the Saidabad police, on Tuesday morning the victim was visiting her grandparents’ house located in the Singareni colony. Dasu noticed her playing outside alone. When there was no one around, he approached the girl and took her to the third floor of a building in the locality and tried to molest her. When she raised an alarm, he fled the spot.
The girl returned home and informed her parents about the incident. On Wednesday, the parents lodged a complaint with the police and a case of molestation and kidnap under POCSO Act was registered. Based on the victim's statement, the police identified the accused and arrested him.
