Man cheats girls saying he is actor Vijay Deverakonda, arrested

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police on Friday, 06 March arrested a man who has been cheating girls by using his mobile number in the name of Tollywood actor Vijay Deverakonda on social media. The action was taken based on a complaint filed by the actor’s manager Govind Sisi with cybercrime police station on 03 March. According to the complaint, the accused has been posting on social media and chatting with girls by impersonating himself as Vijay Devarakonda. A case has been registered by Cyberabad police under Section 41(A) of CRPC

According to the police the accused stays in the Bansawada village of Mirzapur. He was tracked by Cyberabad police using his Facebook id and mobile number.
