Man kills father, chops body and stores in plastic buckets

Hyderabad: In one of the most gruesome incidents reported in the city in the recent past, a youngster brutally murdered his 80-year-old father, chopped his body, and stuffed the body parts in three plastic buckets. In Malkajgiri, Hyderabad, neighbours noticed a foul smell coming from the house on Sunday and alerted police.

According to police, Maruti, a retired employee was residing at RTC colony in Malkajgiri along with his son. On Sunday afternoon, the police were alerted after the victim's neighbours reported a foul smell from the house. Police teams rushed to the spot and found three plastic buckets in the house. On opening the buckets, they found chopped body parts. Primary inquiries revealed that Maruti was murdered by his son three days ago.

Police suspect financial disputes to be the motive behind the murder. A murder case is registered and the investigation is underway.
