Hyderabad: A man killed his wife and later jumped in the Godavari river at Bhadradri Kothagudem district in Telangana. Police who were searching for him after the murder, found his bike and wallet on the bridge.
Ambala Ravi and Keerthi resided at Indira colony in Palvoncha town. The couple have been fighting over family issues for quite some time. On Saturday night, when Ravi returned after work, the couple again quarelled. Ravi lost his temper and attacked Keerthi with a pestle. She suffered severe injury on her head and died on the spot.
Leaving her body, Ravi fled from the house out of fear of being caught. On Sunday morning, police found a bike parked on the Godavari bridge. Based on the bike registration number and a wallet besides the bike, police identified that the bike belonged to Ravi.
Suspecting that he had jumped in the river and committed suicide, police have launched a search in the river.
