Man sentenced to 2-yr RI for eve-teasing minor in Hyd

Hyderabad: The Additional District court at LB Nagar, on Friday, sentenced B. Krishna to two years rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 1,000 for misbehaving with a minor girl.
In August 2015, the victim’s father lodged a complaint at Miyapur police station in which he stated that Krishna has been harassing his 17-year-old daughter for the last one year. Krishna has been stalking the victim, studying Intermediate, when she was going to the college and returning home.
The victim’s father warned Krishna not to follow his daughter and mend his ways. However, there has been no change in Krishna’s attitude and he even threatened to kill her if she failed to love him.
On creating nuisance over the issue at the JNTU bus stop, the victim even attempted suicide and was shifted to the hospital for treatment.
After this incident, the accused was arrested and sent to judicial custody. After investigation, police filed a charge sheet.
