Man thrown into woman’s burning pyre, over suspicion that he did black magic against her  

Even as our society grows in leaps and bounds in terms of advancement in several fields, this incident has marked a black spot on us. A youngster who was suspected to have done ‘black magic’ against a woman, leading to her death, was allegedly thrown into the woman’s pyre. The incident was reported at Adraspalli village in Shameerpet on the city outskirts.

Ghara Laxmi, a resident of the village, was sick for the past two years and died on Tuesday evening. Her cremation took place on Wednesday evening. After the cremation, news spread in the village that Anjaneyulu, an auto driver from the same village, had performed black magic on her, due to which she fell sick and died.

It is alleged that Laxmi’s relatives caught him, attacked and threw him into the pyre while he was still alive.

Shameerpet police rushed to the spot on Thursday morning and began an investigation.
