Hyderabad: The Rachakonda Traffic Police on January 16 challaned a taxi owner at Neredmet X roads for not registering his vehicle.

In an argument that broke out between the traffic cop and the man, he claimed to be a close relative of the Telangana chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. However, the cops refuted his claims. According to the police, the incident reportedly occurred at around 12 noon on Thursday. The man named Rikka Jacob, was stopped by the traffic police during routine checking. He was found without any documents of the vehicle. He was caught on camera schooling the cops on traffic rules. He told the cops that he was the nephew of Shobha Rao, wife of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.

“I am the nephew of Shobha Rao, wife of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. You can’t stop me like this. Even if you put a case against me, I will win the case. The police should demand documents of the vehicle to verify who the person is. But I am clearly telling you, who I am.”, says Rikka Jacob to Malkajgiri traffic cops.

However, the traffic cops have filed a challan of Rs.800 for Disobedience of orders, driving without police registration of cab and driving without taxi driver uniform. The vehicle is registered in Nizamabad RTA office.
