Maoists condemn Budugula, Rollagadda encounters

Hyderabad: Communist Party of India (Maoist) have condemned the encounters that took place at Budugula and Rollagadda. If fake encounters continue, the ruling TRS and BJP will face the ire of the people soon, cautioned the Maoists, who are also protesting against the removal of Article 370 in Jammu & Kashmir (J&K).

In a statement issued on Thursday, the Maoists alleged that the TRS in Telangana and the BJP at the Centre have partnered with multinational companies (MNCs) to exploit the forest wealth.

“The TRS government has taken up Haritha Haram and environment protection schemes to drive the Tribals out of the forest. The life of the Tribals in the Telangana agency area spanning from Bhadradri -Kothagudem, Mahabubabad, Mulugu, Jayashankar Bhupalpalli, Mahbubnagar to Peddapalli, Mancherial, Komaram Bhim and Adilabad district is under life threat. The Police force, Gray Hounds and CRPF are conducting combing operations in the agency area. Hundreds of Adivasis have been arrested and hundreds of youth are missing,” said the statement.

Comrade Jadi Viraswamy and two Maoists belonging to the Manugur dalam on August 21 visited Budugula village to interact with the villagers. The police came to know about their presence in the village through an informer. The police caught Viraswamy, tortured and killed him. They later dumped his body in the nearby forest and termed it as an encounter, added the statement.

They added that the BJP government is trying to suppress the rights of the weaker sections, minorities, women and Tribals in the name of creating a Hindu state. They termed the abrogation of article 370 in J&K as nothing but suppressing the rights of the Kashmiris.

It may be recalled that on August 26, Union home minister Amit Shah had a meeting with Chief Ministers and Home Ministers of all the states. In the meeting, Amit Shah called for a Naxal-free India and has assured all states complete support in fighting Naxals. Telangana home minister Mahmood Ali and DGP Mahender Reddy attended the meeting.

The BJP government is implementing fake propaganda to keep Hindus insecure, it is playing the politics of religions cautioned the Maoists.
