Maoists movement reported in Telangana, police on alert

Hyderabad: In recent times, Telangana has seen a rise in Maoist movements. The police of both the Telugu states have taken measures to control the influx of Maoists which appears to have been successful.

The police have been taking necessary measures to control the movement of Maoists from states like Chattisgarh, which shares borders with Telangana and is a hotbed for Maoists. Reports of Maoists in Telangana have grabbed quite a lot of attention recently. Since it has been some time since Maoists were reported in Telangana, it has turned into a headache for the police.

The police recently conducted search operations in forest areas. They got information that four Maoist groups have entered Telangana's Bhadadri Kothagudem, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, and Mulugu districts. They conducted search operations in Manuguru, Edulla Bayyaram, Gundaala, and Karakagudem forest areas, when they saw some Maoists near Neeladripetagutta, said the Bhadadri Kothagudem police.

However, when the Maoists saw the cops, they ran away leaving all their belongings. The police seized IDs, pen drives, solar panels, revolutionary literature, and other things. While the seven Maoists escaped, the police conducted various search operations in other forest areas. The police are also sending forces to catch the escaped Maoists.
