Mega brothers differ on Andhra Pradesh’s 3 Capital formula

  • Chiranjeevi has extended his support to the  AP CM’s proposal of ‘decentralisation of powers’
  • Jana Sena Chief wants to clarify his stand, only after the Cabinet meeting, scheduled on December 27

Amaravati: Difference of opinion  between the ‘Mega brothers’, i.e  Chiranjeevi and Jana Sena Chief  Pawan Kalyan is visible with regard to the three capital formula being implemented in Andhra Pradesh.  Former Union Minister and Mega Star Chiranjeevi has welcomed the proposal of the Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, over the formation of the three Capitals in the State. He said ‘development can’t be centralised, Chiranjeevi has advocated the need for equal development of three regions in the State. Sensing the pulse of the people of  Rayalaseema and North Coastal Andhra, Chiranjeevi feels that  three reasons must see equal development .

‘People of these regions  will be deprived of development, in case Amaravati is developed with Rs.One Lakh Crore’, the actors adds. However, he has suggested to the Chief Minister to do justice to the farmers who have given away their lands to the Capital Amaravati.

In Contrary  his younger  brother and Jana Sena Party (JSP) Chief Pawan Kalyan  still wants to adopt ‘wait and see’ formula. He  has stated that their party will take a stand, only after the Cabinet meeting, scheduled on 27th of this month.

The ruling YSRCP strategists has  welcomed the move of Chiranjeevi and blamed the JSP Chief for dancing to the tunes of the TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu. However, speculations are on over Chiranjeevi’s statement supporting the CM’s three Capitals proposal. “It is part of the YSRCP Chief’s strategy. With Chiranjeevi’s fresh statement, that too on a sensitive subject like three Capitals, Jagan Mohan Reddy wants to bring in confusions among Mega fans, which may further hit the JSP’s political platform,” a senior TDP leader commented.

There are speculations that actor  Chiranjeevi may be offered Rajya Sabha. However, the different opinions of the Mega brothers over the  Capital issue, have prompted the opposition TDP, to sharpen its strategy further, as the JSP is the only hope for TDP to intensify its agitation on Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Government.
