Mega fans may miss out on Chiranjeevi-Ram Charan on-screen appearance

Hyderabad: Big budget movies are always driven by the star quotient in any sphere of '24 crafts'. When it comes to Telugu cinema, father-son duo, megastar Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan Tej have always occupied the big screen with their star image. After appearing in SS Rajamouli's fantasy action 'Magadheera', the audience got to see Chiranjeevi in Ram Charan's 'Bruce Lee' in a guest role. It was a visual treat for fans to see the father-son duo on screen. But the idea of casting the father-son pair had changed the equations in terms of box office collections and hype.

Of late, the rumours in Tollywood about Ram Charan planning to play a full-length role in his father's upcoming movie has given fans a lot to look forward to. Ram Charan will supposedly play the role of 'young Chiranjeevi' in his father's next project. Koratala Siva will be directing the movie. But according to sources, the makers have given no thoughts of casting Ram Charan in the movie. They have yet to receive a proposal about the same either. It is rumoured that two actresses are being brought on board for the female lead roles. The makers will soon choose their cast before going on to the sets for regular shooting in November.

It is suggested that Koratala Siva has already drafted the script that is laced with regular action, fight sequences and songs. An all round fun-packed entertainment that would enthral the audience. The story will also have a social message. Ram Charan and Niranjan Reddy are bankrolling the project.

Ram Charan has earned the 'like-father-like-son' image with a slew of superhits over the years. From the heroics of Magadheera to the artistic portrayal of Chitti Babu as someone who is hearing impaired, the actor has won the hearts of Telugus with his craft and acting skill. After his foray into film production, Ram Charan has no time to lend a ear for new scripts. On the other hand, his ambitious project RRR has already completed significant shooting schedules. It was in Sye Raa that a proposal was put forth that he should be a given a role in the movie. As per the script, Ram Charan's character was supposed to slay Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy in the end. The makers of the movie felt that this would be distasteful for the audience to watch Ram Charan killing his father in the movie. So it was decided that Ram be dropped from Sye Raa. Hence, leaving mega fans waiting to catch the father-son duo on screen.
