Missing woman, Medplus employee found dead on railway tracks in Medak

Hyderabad: An employee of the pharma retail chain Medplus and a woman, his alleged partner, were found dead on the railway tracks in Telangana's Medak district on 19 May. The police suspect the duo, S. Ravi Kumar (30) and M. Santoshini (29), jumped in front of a train and committed suicide.

Santoshini was married to M. Shankar and had two children. She had left her home after a quarrel with her husband. She had also left a note saying she was going to die and that no one was responsible for her death. A missing person's case had been registered at Malkajgiri police station in Hyderabad. An investigation was underway when her body was found. The police suspect that Ravi and Santoshini were having an affair and may have committed suicide because of their relationship.

According to the railway police, passersby discovered the two bodies on the railway tracks near Masaipet railway station in Medak district. The couple had come to the spot on a motorbike. The victims were identified based on the vehicle number and other documents found in their possession and their families notified. Medak railway police have registered a case and started an investigation.
