Nellore Court gives death sentence to man who killed two women

Nellore: The Nellore 8th Additional District Session’s Court has ordered death sentence to a person who had killed two women for booty in 2013. Among the three accused involved in the murder case, the main accused Shaik Imtiaz from Nellore has been given hanging on Thursday and two other juveniles have already been imposed imprisonment of 3 years in 2018 by the Juvenile Court.

The facts of the case are as follows: A Dinakar Reddy was a correspondent of Vagdevi Pharmacy College in the city and had been residing in Haranathapuram in the city along with his wife Sakunthala and daughter Bhargavi, who was studying in her third year of MBBS course in the Narayana Medical College.

Dinakar had asked for help from the accused Shaik Imtiaz for some construction work regarding house elevation. Shaik Imtiaz was running an interior designing consultancy in the city. He along with two minors came to the house on Feb 12, 2013, in the afternoon and informed Dinakar Reddy on his presence for preparing plans. He observed valuable jewels his wife and daughter were wearing. He, pretending as planning for interiors, closed the doors and threatened them for giving the ornaments. Since both mother and daughter refused to hand over them, they mercilessly attacked and left the house along with the booty.

Dinakar Reddy who came to know through his close relative observed his wife and daughter were in a pool of blood and shifted them to the hospital where doctors declared brought dead. Fourth town police booked cases against Imtiaz and juveniles Murali Krishna and Vamsi Manohar.

Juvenile Court imposed imprisonment of three years each to the minors in October 2018. Now, on Thursday, 8th Additional District Sessions Judge B Satyanarayana pronounced judgment giving hanging to the main accused Sk Imtiaz.
