'Saved economy heading towards a disaster', says PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi claimed on Friday that the current government has saved the economy from heading towards a disaster five years ago. "Five-six years back, our economy was heading towards disaster. Our government has not only stabilised it but also made efforts to bring discipline to it. We have paid attention to fulfilling the decades' old demands of the industry," PM said at the inaugural session of '100 years of Assocham.

Internet services suspended in Lucknow and Mangalore over CAA protests

Mobile internet services and SMS services have been suspended in Lucknow after violent protests erupted in the city against the new Citizenship law. In Mangaluru, the internet was suspended stating to prevent misuse of social media and to maintain law and order. Circular was issued to schools and colleges by the state government.
